About ISACA
ISACA is a professional body of individuals with a common interest in information systems governance, audit, control and security. It was founded in 1969 by a small group of individuals. Association membership has now grown to more than 95,000 members around the world.
ISACA awards the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) qualifications which are now a requirement to work in the fields of IS Security, Audit, Control, Risk Management and Governance in most major multinational banks, manufacturing firms, and government organizations.
Current membership of the association is highly multifaceted, ranging from CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, IT/ IS Directors, IT/ IS Managers, Audit professionals, IT/ IS Security Professional, QA Professionals - just to name a few.
ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter
The Sri Lanka Chapter of ISACA has been in existence since 1996, has over 160 members in Sri Lanka. It has earned many international awards for its performance, including the Award for the Best Chapter in Asia in 2006.
For the period 2008 - 2009 chapter also received the K Wayne Snipes Award for the Best Medium Sized Chapter in Asia. Sri Lanka Chapter of ISACA is very much involved in promoting Information Systems Security, Audit and Governance in Sri Lanka.
ISACA Sri Lanka chapter regularly organizes various seminars, workshops and members day events for strengthening and bringing knowledge of ICT controls, governance and security.
