IT Governanace World Standard Defined

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) adopted a revised version of AS 8015 as the world standard for IT Governance. The new standard is ISO/IEC 38500.

ISO/IEC 38500 is an advisory document and describes the IT governance requirements at a very high level (i.e. very briefly). The 15 page document is complementary to frameworks like COBIT.
